diversARTy Studio and gallery was officially opened on 22nd July 2017 with a launch cocktail party.
“Many thanks for the wonderful opportunity to exhibit with at DiversARTY. You guys have cemented Cromer as a creative precinct, the potential was there but you have made it happen. The opening was abuzz with gallery goers sipping sumptuous Malbec, bubbles or a cheeky white wine and sampling the freshest Tasmanian smoked salmon on baguette with just enough dill and cream cheese to make it ever so memorable. The mouth-watering amuse-bouche circulated the crowded newly designed gallery and kept people coming back for more. DiversARTY is the manifestation of Donna and Wayne’s dream, serendipity was in play when the space in Cromer became available, then their hard work and vision for a local art gallery made it a reality. They worked tirelessly transforming an industrial space to a high end gallery. They painted walls, created movable partitions, added signage, a roller door and glass windows, laid a stylish floor and created a loft. In keeping with the gallery name, DiversARTY, Wayne and Donna began their search for the right art to fill their walls and bring their space to life. Most of the work is from local artists as their manifesto is to have a local gallery for local artists but a couple of brilliant pieces caught their eye and they cast their net a little further to include some wonderful artists from the South and North Coast of NSW. Being a former Cromer High School student I exhibited at DiversARTY and celebrated the opening night, the vibe was incredible between artists and gallery goers, everyone was happy to finally have a local gallery and they couldn’t speak more highly of the night. What stood out for me most was the charismatic charm of the gallery owner, Wayne and his wife Donna, they adopted me and the other artists into their gallery like we were one big family. The many sales on the night was proof to them that they were on the right track and they couldn’t hide their happiness when sticking that red dot on the wall next to the sold piece. DiversARTY is a much needed creative space in Cromer and the gallery will go from strength to strength with local support, watch this space as I expect amazing things to come.”

“Arriving at DiversARTY Gallery on Saturday night was an absolute delight!
To see the crowd and colour of the art spilling out onto the street through the glass front of the gallery, looked like an absolute success of an opening night before I even stepping in.
It was great to see how all your hard work of transforming an urban industrial space into a contemporary art gallery has created a much needed accessible art space for the northern beaches.
The lighting and environment was perfect, movable walls and areas for catering and chilling out not to mention the great food and wines, led to a perfect combination of relaxing into a night of looking at a mix of fantastic paintings, tapestries, graphics and sculpture, and meeting loads of interesting people both artists and lovers of art.
Thanks again Wayne and Donna for your enthusiasm and being the perfect hosts on a great night, also the opportunity to be part of your gallery success and show my art at your grand opening.
I look forward to being part of your future plans and working with you again.”
