Lisa Calder

Lisa completed an Art Certificate at East Sydney Technical College and followed this with a Certificate in Painting from Hornsby Technical College and then a Printing Certificate from East Sydney Technical College.

Lisa has participated in numerous group exhibitions for over 20 years with her prints which included linocuts, silkscreens, lithographs, etchings and woodcuts. Lisa’s woodcuts were based on the reductive method. She had two solo exhibitions of her printing the first in 1993 – Mediterranean Woodblock Prints at Mary Reibey Gallery, Enmore, N.S.W. and in 1996, reductive woodcuts at Wombats Castle, Castle Cove, N.S.W.

For the last 15 years after moving from a house to a unit and not having space for her etching press, Lisa has been working on her painting. She spent several years with acrylic paintings before moving to oil painting finding this a medium more suited to her style of painting.

Lisa’s works are in private collections in Scandinavia, America, England, Europe and throughout Australia.

Works are represented at:

* Northside Clinic – Greenwich N.S.W.

* Mirvac Group – Hotels in Brisbane, QLD.
