Maddi Alderdice

Maddi is an abstract artist based in Port Kembla on the South Coast of NSW.

Maddi grew up in Dubbo- Central West NSW, living a childhood filled with sport, water-skiing, bike riding, camping and creativity.
After completing a degree in Primary Education in her new home town, Maddi now teaches at a small school of 150 students, while the move from the country to the coast brought new adventures, the one thing that remained unchanged for this artist was her passion and desire to create.

Drawing inspiration from her grandmother, Maddi has been painting and drawing for as long as she can remember. While she felt comfortable in the world of realism portraiture, Maddi truly found her signature artistic style in abstract creation.

Using acrylic on canvas, and adding mesmerising detail with POSCA paint pens, her artworks transform space through mood, atmosphere and visual stimulation. Her journey has evolved from painting in her grandmother’s shed to commissioned artworks around Australia.

Maddi is now exhibiting exclusively at DiversARTy on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
